March 2nd

Monday, Pat stayed home from work as we got 2 inches of powerdy snow in the morning. Some sledding was done and then the boys cleaned off the cars. However, this was still not a good enough snow for a snowman....maybe next year?

March 1st?

Sunday, March 1st, we got a light dusting of snow. The excited boys were out in the cold with their newly knitted scraves (yes, I have taken on a new hobby to pass Nick Jr. time). Both boys seemed to have fun and not get too cold.

Frosty the half snowman

Ever since Christmas with watching Frosty the Snowman on ABC, reading Frosty the Snowman, and receiving a Snowman kit from Mimi, with EVERY snow/flurry, Alex demands on making a snowman. However, the snow has not been quite the correct composition for good snowman making.

So, to help satisfy Alex, Pat took some of the snow from off the car on Wednesday and made Alex part of a snowman. Alex was very excited to add all the pieces and is constantly checking on the creation. Thankfully it will be cold for a while and we will not have to explain the melting factor :)

Light snow

On January 19th, we got a light snow. Thankfully, this time, Pat was not in DC and could safely enjoy the snow with us. Alex did some more sledding but is still disappointed that he can't make a Frosty the Snowman.

One Thursday evening it snowed and Alex and I went out to enjoy it :) We were able to sled on a nice icy snow. We did 5 runs that made it all the way down to the volleyball court. After the 5th run, Alex walked part way up the hill, turned to me, and said "Mommy, you go up. I stand here and watch you go down." Needless to say, that was the last trip :)

Let it Snow!

Today we had our first real snow. So after school, Pat and I took Alex out to play. He LOVED licking the snow and burring his mittens in the snow. He got to try out his winter gear and didn't seem to mind the slight extra padding :)
