Baby Shower

On the 17th, we traveled to West Chester for the evening for a baby shower. It was a beautiful evening and a great time to spend with family.

UPS also delivered Aunt Megan and Aunt Kate's present :) It was a Diego Rescue Train. It is nice and portable and Alex enjoys taking it outside to play.

My Boys

For Valentine's Day, Pat sent Alex and I flowers, a balloon, teddy bear and candy. In addition, I had a morning free to run errands and then we packed the car for West Chester. We had a nice visit with Mimi, Megan, John, and Michele on Saturday and then everyone plus, Gramps and Kate on Sunday morning.

I believe this picture of Uncle Johnny, Aunt Michele, and Alex tells a lot about the interaction between Pat's siblings and Alex :) Hopefully everyone had a blast because I know we did :)

Carr Christmas

On Friday during the naptime, Alex, Pat and I traveled to West Chester to be with Pat's family. We arrived at Mimi's house and were greeted by Aunt Megan and Mimi. Later, Uncle Johnny and Aunt Michele and Aunt Kate joined us via the train. We had pizza and then opened presents. Alex received LOTS of firetrucks/man items and enjoyed playing with everyone. Saturday, we went to Gramps for lunch and enjoyed spending time :)

4th of July

For our Independence Day, we relaxed in the morning and then had Gramps and Mimi over for dinner. Once everything was cleaned up, we drove over to Sun East Bank to watch the fireworks at Sun Valley. We got there too early and waited 30 mintues or so in the rain. During the fireworks, Alex was strapped into his stroller and was ready to leave after the first 5 minutes. No fear over the noise but was bored to tears (literally) over the pace. We got to see the finale and then home to bed!

Happy Father's Day!

While I am SUPER bored at work... I decided to update and add the Father's Day information (I will add pictures this evening).

In the morning, Pat opened his presents (surprise...another XBox 360 game! He's become sooo easy to shop for). And then Alex and I made Strawberry Vanilla pancakes and a chocolate chip cookie cake. The cake we took to Gramps' place. At Gramps', it was Gramps, Aunt Kate and us for lunch. Alex ran around Gramps' apartment and refused to eat too much. We said our goodbyes around 1:30pm and hoped that Alex would fall asleep in the car. Unfortunately this did not happen and Pat had to take Alex out for a ride. This time, Alex fell asleep (at 3:30 pm) and slept until 4:15 pm. The boys then went for a walk and I got the Father's Day dinner ready. After dinner, Alex reused to sleep (again) 'til 10:15 pm and woke up around 1:30 am for a bit.

Overall... a busy Father's Day!
