A great feeling!

Last night, when I came home from the gym, Alex was SCREAMING and crying. So I went back and tried to get the little monkee to sleep.

It wasn't until I had him in the rocking chair and was singing to him that he finally let go. It was a great feeling to see him relax and eventually drift off to sleep :) A wonderful mommy moment!

However, at 2am it wasn't that great ;)

At last!

Last night, Alex slept the ENTIRE night! It has been the first night since December 15th. I actually had to wake him up this morning to make sure everything was ok :)

We do not know if it was due to his blanket, his exhuastion, or a prayer card that we received from the church :)

Overall, I do not care... it was a 8 glorious hours of sleep!

Sleep

With Alex's move into the toddler bed, he has decided to join us in bed. Notice his placement on my pillow... very tipical :)

Also, more pictures were added to the web album.

What the World Needs Now...

Ok... I am being lazy/exhuasted (Alex is still climbing into bed with us and is not a still sleeper). Here is another picture from Satuday:
If only everyone could be this loving :)

Ladies Man

Saturday was very busy for Alex. He got to see most of his immediate family!

Saturday morning it was the Carrs. Unfortunately due to scheduling conflicts, he did not get a nap but did get a great pirate boat from Gramps (which he loves!). So he was a bit cranky.

In the afternoon, Abuelos saved us from too cranky Alex. We went for a walk and Alex met a playmate, Jada. Jada was a little 15m girl who had a great time with Alex. They both liked to run, hug, kiss and generally follow each other around. It was adorable! In the picture, they were playing peek-a-boo.

Funny things from today

With Alex's new habit of waking up at night, Pat would often bring him in our bed for a bit. However, it has gotten to the point where Alex would climb out of his crib and then crawl into our bed. Well, this morning, around 12am, Alex climbed into bed. Not unusual, he hunkered down on my pillow and fell asleep. A little while later, he kicked Pat in the groin and grabbed Pat's covers. This got him promptly put back into his own bed. Then again at 2am, he crawled back in. He again slept on my pillow 'til 4am when I put him back to bed in fear of the alarm scaring him. At 6am, Alex comes running into the bedroom screaming "pillow". Here he was dragging his own pillow into our bed.

This afternoon, after I picked him up from Tara's, Alex and I went to the park while Pat took his Dad come from the hospital. There Alex enjoyed climbing the "stairs" by himself and then going down the slide. Then he tried the swings and then spend 30 minutes playing in the baseball dug outs.

Finally this afternoon, Pat converted Alex's crib to a Toddler bed. Alex LOVES his bed. Tonight he wanted to be read to in his bed and then did not once try to get out of it. It is amazing!

Oh! There is a new web album to view at the bottom ;)

Pirate Movie

After 2 failed attempts, and family issues, I finally edited the puppet movie and uploaded it to YouTube.

It plus a few other movies are located at the bottom of the blog. Please feel free to leave any comments on videos or new website updates :-)

Slave Labor

So while Pat and I were trying to clean this morning, Alex decided he wanted to help. And LOVED running the dirt devil around and then would grab the swiffer to get the wall. He is one well trained little man! However, part of me felt bad that my 21 month old son was cleaning.

Technology...isn't it fun?

Ok...there's no audio (and please ignore my pj look) but I will work on that. Last night Pat and I were cleaning out the computer area and he found the webcam. So I decided to hook it up and put it to good use. However, I cannot get the microphone to work. Until it works... give us a call to hear the voice behind the movement :-)

Another new technology, I decided to stop updating Alex's Webpage on the Temple Server. So my new plan is to use Picasa's Web Album. At the bottom of the page, you will see a link to some Christmas pictures. Since someone voted for pictures (can't imagine who that was... Abuelo!), I won't stop putting them on the web but will move them to a different location. I hope it is not too much of a bother! A neat thing about Picasa's Web Album is that you can view all the pictures as a slideshow. You'll have to let me know if you like it :)

Gotcha!

Ok...so I think we have figured out Alex's game. As long as we leave the door open and watch him from the living room, he will not leave his bed. Not too shabby a game plan :)

Dancing Boy

Ok....so it is a little old (Alex was 16 m.) but I am trying something new :) I hope you enjoy!
