York Fair

This past Friday, Alex and I were able to visit the York Fair with a Jelly Bean friend, Sym and his mommy, Tracey. The boys seemed to have a nice time and it was great to be out with another Mom!

Getting Better...

Whenever I sit my camera down I need to make sure it is:
a. in a high spot
b. the batteries are dead
c. I threaten my son not to touch it

If a, b, or c are not completed, Alex will grab the camera and DEMAND that everyone smile. However, on the positive note...he has learned to keep his fingers off the lense and now uses the viewfinder to center the picture. Not bad for a 3 year old :)

Watching Sophia

Saturday, we had a visit from Becca's 3 month old, Sophia. While Becca was attending her sister's wedding, Sophia got to stay and play with us. Alex was VERY excited to have Sophia around. He enjoyed playing with Sophia's toys but couldn't understand why Sophia would not play with him. Alex also constantly wanted to hold Sophia but when she started to fuss, told me to "turn the noise off." We also had a little jealously issue but the next morning, Alex was sad the baby wasn't around.

So (before the comments start rolling in...), yes, it might be time for another little Benner/Carr baby but
1. I need to get a job
2. We need our own home....

So, prayers there and a big Thank you to Becca for allowing us to have fun with her beautiful Sophia!

First Bath

Last week, after a walk in the woods with the boys, Zoë needed her first bath. Overall, I do not think she enjoyed it and looked like a little rat after the fact :)

Writing

This past week in Jelly Beans, Alex has been practicing his name. He at least understands there are 2 lines and 1 in between, for the A and can recognize his name. However, after the A, it is all greek to him.
