The Last Ride

Alex's last ride was the flying bees. We were out of tickets (and cash), so I could not join him but thankfully this young lady did. Alex seemed to enjoy "flying." After this ride, I gave him $2 to go fishing. He won a sword that he would not let go of until bath time :)

Driving Miss Daisys

On this ride, Alex spent more time talking to his passengers than driving. He seemed to have fun and after he got out, he told me "I drove the girls home. I drove safe." Too funny!

Motorcycle

Alex's first ride was a motorcyle ride. He did fairly well but, towards the end of going around and around in circles, he started to ask to get off.

Fire Truck

Today, on the way to the Carnival, Alex was able to take a look at firetrucks. He throughly inspected each engine and wanted to check all the levers and buttons. He was truly in a little bit of heaven :)

Today's Adventure

After playing in the "big" pool for a bit this afternoon, I finally got out Alex's own pool. He seemed to enjoy himself. However, for some reason, the big event for him was sticking his head in a water bucket to cool himself off. It is actions like these that make me wonder how boys survive....

Cleaning the car

After having breakfast and snack in the car from Jelly Beans, the Vibe has been disgusting. So this week, Alex and I cleaned up a bit. Here's Alex's account.

Lavendar Festival

To give the Fathers a quiet Father's Day morning, Abuela and I took Alex for a jaunt at Willow Valley's Lavendar Festival. It was wonderfully smelling and it seemed to wear Alex (and us) out. He even got to make a craft!

Father's Day

For some reason, Alex thinks that EVERY present is his to open. So Father's Day morning, Alex proceeded to open Pat and Abuelo's presents. Once opened, he disappointedly handed them back to their new owner :)

Splish Splash

Early last week, Alex wanted to go swimming with Abuelo. So we got him all ready for swimmin in the 76 degree pool.
Outside, Alex counted "one, two, three jump, Abuelo!" and had Abuelo jump in. When it was his turn, he jumped in (see first picture) and immediately swam to the ladder to climb out. He said "brrr....this too cold for me." Alex then sat on the ladder and kicked for a bit.

Tadpole to Otter

So, I have been a "tad" lax about taking pictures and blogging... so here's a catch up :)
The last 2 weeks, Alex took swim lessons at the YWCA. He was "fearless". On the last day, I finally took my camera and got some pictures. The first picture is of fearless jumping into the water past his teacher and then swimming on his own back to the ladder. What a water bug!

Circus

Tonight, everyone went to the circus. At first Alex was excited and demanded cotton candy, to do the wheel of death and that we buy him a light saber for $8. Needless to say, he got the cotton candy. The show was fairly long and Alex's favorite act was the clown (that's the 2nd picture). We did leave at intermission and then Alex got to ride a pony before heading home.

Superboy

Do you remember Alex's 2nd Halloween as Superboy? This morning, Alex wanted to be a super hero. So I dug out the costume and he excitedly ran around outside :)

Bulldozer Boy

This Sunday, Alex and Abuelo were bulldozing. During a break, Alex refused to leave the bulldozer.

Carrs fixing car

Last weekend, after putting a lot of money into Pat's car, I noticed a headlight was out. Thankfully, Walmart had an easy guide to find a replacement and we were able to fix it Monday before the horrible week of storms. For some reason, both boys were excited to use tools and stand around the car :)

Happy Birthday, Pat!

Wednesday was Pat's birthday. Alex and Pat seemed fairly excited with presents and brownies :)

Jelly Bean Graduation

After 9 weeks, Jelly Beans is finished. Today was Alex's last day of Jelly Beans. On Wednesday, Ms. Diane held a graduation ceremony. Notice the cute hats! Alex also received a certificate and homework for the summer :) Too cute!
