My lovely son came into the room at 6:30am and said "Mommy all done sleeping. Get up!"

Isn't a talking toddler great....

jobs, jobs, jobs....

This week has been fairly busy...

Pat is back to class...at least BarBri classes. Thankfully he is taking the classes at Widner which is only 10 minutes away. He has homework every night and day but seems to get most of it done before Alex and I get home. Tonight he is working on a practice test, creating flashcards, and biting his nails :)

Alex has been his usual weird self :) Thankfully he talks very plain and is coming out with complete sentences. The only annoying thing is today he picked up "Shut up, no more talking" from the babysitter. However, Tara did say Alex is the most polite child she has at daycare who always says please and thank you. Yea!

Ok....job front... a lot of applications have gone out for Pat and I... Pat has a phone interview for the Immigration Services on Monday at 1:30 pm. We both keep hoping for the Baltimore office but that is out of our hands. As for me... I have 11 more days in which I will wake up to my own alarm clock. Things have been super busy and frustrating at work but I will at least get a reprieve in a bit.

prayers, prayers, prayers :)

Graduation Party

ok....so catching up...
Friday was the last day to get everything ready for the party. We were up 'til 11pm icing cupcakes :)

However, since we finished things up on Friday, we were all able to go to the Zoo on Saturday. Megan met us at the Zoo and we had a nice 3 hours or so exploring. This time we got to see a polar bear playing in the water and otters. The otters were frisky and active, jumping in and out of the water. They also would swim by the glass and by Alex. It was a nice way to spend our 5th Anniversary. That night, Magnee, Pap, Mammaw, Rachel and Abuelos came to visit. We had a nice time talking and Alex showed off all his toys.

Sunday was BEAUTIFUL! The weather was perfect and it was a great day to spend with friends and family. There was a lot of food and I of course overdid it on my supplies (at least noone went away hungry!). It was a nice time and Alex got to spend time playing with his 2nd cousins, Jim and Collin. Everyone seemed to have a good time. Pictures will be updated (though there are not many).

YEA!

Pat did it! He graduated and walked the stage :)

Gramps, Mimi, Abuela, Megan, Katie, Alex and I were witnesses at the Liaicorious Center :)

We all went to the reception at Klein Hall and then over for graduation. Alex did a lot of running around with Abuela, Mimi, Megan and Katie but at the end when it was time, was a champ and got up on stage with Pat to receive the pledge for his degree. Patrick was also honored for his membership in the Rubin Public Interest Law Honor Society.

We are all proud of him and his accomplishments :)

Pat's Interview

Today, Pat had his first after law school job interview. It was with the government for a 2 year intern position with the Immigration Department. He said everything went well and he was asked 11 questions. Officially he will hear back in a month. After that he will be subject to a 2 month security check and then possibly offered the job in Philadelphia.

So that's the job front update.

Boys' Day

Today, Alex and Pat had all day together because Tara needed off. The boys went to a Moonbounce place for 2 hours. After 2 hours of running, sliding, bouncing, and chasing each other, the boys had a good lunch and eventually Alex went for a nap.

When I came home from work, both boys were tired but happy :)

Rainy days

With a rainy Monday, we needed to do something to keep our sanity and wear Alex out for the evening. So.... we took him to Bette's and let him run around for a bit. Our $5 coupon allowed Alex to run around, play with a kitchen set, slide the big slide, and bounce with Daddy. Needless to say, the last one brought the most laughs and smile from Alex.
Afterwards, he ate a HUGE dinner and relaxed before bed.

Mother's Day Fun!

For Mother's Day, Abuelos and us went to the Philadelphia Zoo. There we saw A LOT of animals :) Alex seemed interested but overwhelmed. However, he was a real trooper and did great. His biggest excitement was chasing the geese around as we ate lunch. Once we hit the car for the ride home he and Abuelo quickly fell asleep :)

Overall, a nice Mother's Day!

Thank you, Mimi

Today Mimi helped us out of a real jam... Last Thursday, Tara informed us that she would be closed today. This is horrible because today Pat had 1 of 2 finals and I had an in-service day. Thankfully, Mimi was able to take the day off work and watched Alex.

As soon as Alex walked in the door, he showed me his 'copter hand stamp and immediately began to tell me how he and Mimi drove 'copters. He excitedly told me about the medivac "tunnel" and sirens and planes and everything about 'copters. Alex had a great time!

Thanks, Mimi!
