Souvenir

This past weekend, Abuelo and Uncle Rodger went to Vermont. Alex's souvenir, from the great ski trip, was a nifty car creation book. So tonight, for their reunion, they sat down and made a firetruck (surprise, surprise) and a polica car.

Thanks, Abuelo!

April...yikes!

The Donaldson Farm Sale is set for April 4th
Alex's birthday is scheduled for April 5th.
On April 6th, Alex will start the Jelly Bean Program everyday at the YWCA from 9am-12pm. His teacher will be Ms. Diane...who was one of my old HS teachers.

What a crazy start of the month! Yikes!

Oppss...

Looks like Liz will need this soon! Liz and Joe Smith are engaged! And looking at a 2010 St. Patrick's Day wedding.

Library craft

Gotta love Ms. Bev's library crafts on Tuesday. Alex REALLY enjoyed threading the noodles on the string but didn't like to wear it too much. Though Pat seemed to :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Nothing like starting off the morning with a green icing and sprinkle covered donut. Thanks, Abuela!

So...his father's son

In cleaning out a closet, Alex found my sister's corset for her wedding dress. Here are a few candids :) He is truly his father's son!

Painting

This weekend, after 3 months, we finally finished painting and putting together party favors for Alex's 3rd birthday. It was a lot of mess but the results are cute and hopefully worth it. We'll find out, April 5th :)

Bugs

Alex has been fascinated with bugs!!! He loves finding lady bugs and scaring the poor creatures into climbing on him and talks to the stink bugs like they are his best friend. So today, in 40 degree weather with a winter coat, hat and mittens, Alex comes over to me and is talking about his new friend bug on his mitten.

At first, I didn't see anything and was then mortified to see, stuck on my son's mitten, a tick. It took a lot to get the tick out of Alex's glove (it kept trying to bury itself in the mitten) and onto the concrete. Then, after going inside for a lighter, I burned the thing until it popped. The last part worried Alex until I told him those bugs bite. Then he wanted to burn it too...

I'm sure this is not our last encounter with the dreaded bugs but at least it had a happy ending!

Big "helper"

This week has been VERY interesting while working 40 hours from home and being with Alex. Thankfully....both of us survived...somehow.

Above is a video of Alex demonstrating the spanish gesture for "cheap" and "be careful" for my tutorial on Spanish gestures :)

Butt cream...again....

Tonight, while Pat and Alex were upstairs, Alex decided his butt hurt. So, he decided to remedy that....with both hands (we don't do this half way here). Here's the view before Daddy cleaned him up.

Haircut

Today, while I got forms notarized for work and ran to the library, Abuela joined us in town and we got Alex's hair cut. It took 10 minutes to get all the hair off and a lot of scowling but it's done for a while.

After a nice lunch with Abuela, we visited Mammaw and time playing with playdo and playing outside in this beautiful 60 degree weather.

New Job

It's temporary but it's a pay check! I am currently working for Knowledge Learning Co. as a Course Writer for Spanish 1, 2, and 3. It is a work from home job that will be online.

So yeah!

March 2nd

Monday, Pat stayed home from work as we got 2 inches of powerdy snow in the morning. Some sledding was done and then the boys cleaned off the cars. However, this was still not a good enough snow for a snowman....maybe next year?

March 1st?

Sunday, March 1st, we got a light dusting of snow. The excited boys were out in the cold with their newly knitted scraves (yes, I have taken on a new hobby to pass Nick Jr. time). Both boys seemed to have fun and not get too cold.
