Sleeping in the tiolet?

Ok...so the 1st fish died yesterday. However, out of shock, I told Alex he was sleeping. Alex thinks that we flushed the sleepping fish. So now, EVERY time I go to the bathroom, Alex wants to flush but looks for the fish before he flushes. Not quite sure how to handle that one...

Driving

Alex has hit the stage in his social development where he likes to pretend. This weekend, I was able to get him to pretend to drive his Monkey and Fox around using his chair car. He had a great time and it was fun to see him interactive and imagine with stuffed animals.

Garvey Easter

To end the Easter festival, we all went to Mimi's. While there, Alex enjoyed leading Kate and Sarah where he wanted to play and a delicious dinner. At the end, a lovely chocolate cake was lit to celebrate some Garvey birthdays.

Easter morning

After a HORRIBLE drive back to Aston, Alex went to sleep and the next day woke up to surprises from the Easter Bunny. Alex enjoys watching his fish (Corn, Peas, and Green Beans) and trying to get candy :)

at Mammaw's

Saturday evening we arrived at Mammaw's at 4pm for an egg hunt. Will, Katie, Kevin and Alex were the main hunters and had great success.

Around 5pm, everyone joined the fray for dinner and then to celebrate Alex's birthday. To finish off the evening, a George piƱata dropped lots of candy to send everyone home.

Eggs

Saturday morning, Abuelos and Alex colored eggs with super concentrated dye (he he he!). Then once Tia was up and showered, we all went outside for an egg hunt. Alex' s first egg , he decided to rehide it. Only he shoved the egg in the dryer vent which rolled all the way back to the dryer. Abuelo had to pull the dryer out and search for the egg.

The rest of the egg hunt was pretty tame and Alex found all the rest of the eggs.

While they napped

Alex and I went out to Fairfield, March 20th-22nd. On the 21st, Abuela and Tia needed a nap; so Alex and I had to vacate the house :)

So we went to see Abuelo at Cherry Hill. At Cherry Hill, Abuelo and Alex threw sticks and explored a bit. We then waved to David, who was fertilizing, and then shut the gate.

The big fun was "driving" Abuelo's tractor. First I had to get in it and then Alex wanted to drive. He spent a lot of time exploring Abuelo's tractor and had lots of fun!

After Abuelo's tractor we took a ride to the top of the mountain to see the view and then Abuelo had to get back to work. So we went to see Mammaw for a bit and rearrange her Easter Decorations.

Over all...it was a fun time :)

Easter Bunny

Today after Tara's, Alex and I went to see the Easter Bunny. He was a little hesitant at first but then agreed to sit on his lap. Once Alex realized he was getting his picture taken, he put on a cute smile for the girl taking the picture.

Not a bad thing to get done on my first day of Spring Break :)

/sigh

Tonight, Pat went to play Rock Band with a few of his high school friends. So, Alex and I are home alone. We went for a long walk, we ate, we played, we watched George, got a bath and in pjs, and watched more George. I also discovered all of Alex's molars are in (finally!). And after an hour of screaming in bed....he is still screaming... it all makes me wonder how our race survives.

All a Twitter

So my boys are asleep and I am left alone to work on lesson planning and brainstorm teaching ideas (doesn't that sound like an exciting Saturday Night?!?!).

So in my random searching, I found some web 2.0 applications that I liked:

PicLens - that allows be to create an entire screen slideshow out of the pictures on an Internet Web page.

Twitter -Twitter is a service that asks, "what are you doing?" So, what are you doing?

An Angel?!?!

So after a rough evening with Alex, I downloaded the pictures and thought pic was interesting after his behavior. I am hoping as a long as I look at the innocent face, I will forget about the screaming toddle kicking the floor.

Also, the web album was updated with new pictures. Be sure to check it out.
