At the park

Monday, after a good nap, Alex and I met Amy and her son, Roman at North Side park. There the boys chased each other, climbed, slid, rod on cars, and chased each other more :) While the boys went ran around, Amy and I got a chance to catch up.

Feeding the "Eagles"

At first, Alex called the sea gulls "eagles." After subs, on Sunday, Alex and Daddy took the extra fries and threw them to the birds. Everything involved seemed to enjoy the experience and then Alex did his lion routine and chased the birds.

In the Water

Along with playing in the sand, Alex has gotten a lot of ocean time. On the shore, he enjoys running away from and into the water. He also seems to enjoy kicking sand and splashing a bit. However, the big fun is when Daddy or Abuelo take Alex into the waves. He always has a big smile on his face and enjoys pointing out big waves. He has also experienced the power of the ocean as the all the boys have had a tumble with the waves.

Destructo

Part of the beach experience has been creating sand castles. Alex has been a big help bringing water up from the ocean and everyone else has been doing the construction. However, our beautiful creations only last a few moments until Alex decides to destroy.

The Setup

With an umbrella, 3 chairs, a sheet, and sand toys we have been at the beach the beginning of the week. Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves!

The Inlet

After a good Sunday of sleeping and a Monday at the beach, we drove down to the inlet for some rides. Alex rode firetrucks, balloons (with Daddy), the carousel (with Abuelo and Abuela), a plane, and a race car. He also did an obstacle course with a lot of determination.

4th of July

Our 4th of July involved a 6 hour car trip, unloading, no naps, ice cream, fireworks and "nart" traffic cops. Overall, a good day :)
